In the context of seeking to implement the drinking water safety plan, EPA is working to raise the capacities of workers in NGOs in the field of monitoring water quality and ensuring its safety and compliance with Syrian st andard specifications. This is done by conducting practical tests of the physical, chemical and biological properties and applying st andard procedures for water sterilization. These trainings will reduce the spread of waterborne diseases, especially with the spread of cholera in northern Syria since September 2022.
