As part of its endeavor to build capacity and share knowledge and lessons learned from projects, EPA implemented a training entitled “Basic steps for designing solar energy systems in water stations.” The training targeted workers in the Early Recovery/WASH sectors, two training sessions were conducted and 60 male and female engineers from the staff water units and NGOs working in northwestern Syria attended. Each training lasted for three days, including two days of theoretical information discussion and a day of field visit to the solar power plant, which gave participants the opportunity to closely observe the operation of the plant. 1- Principles of Solar Energy 2- Primary Data for Designing a Solar Water Pumping System 3- Inspection and Testing of Solar Water Pumping Systems 4- Practical Examples of Designing Hybrid Water Pumping Systems
