Through this project, EPA seeks to contribute to supporting the educational process and improving public health procedures by supporting water and environmental sanitation services in schools in Raqqa city. To achieve this goal, EPA rehabilitates water, bathroom and hygiene facilities in the targeted schools, thus ensuring that school children have access to safe and sufficient drinking water services, sanitation services, and personal and public hygiene services, while implementing health awareness and education campaigns targeting students, parents, and teachers on the importance of hygiene and environmental health. This intervention contributes to achieving a healthy environment by improving the learning environment for students and promoting their healthy behaviors, in addition to reducing the spread of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and cholera. The project will have an impact on enhancing public health and hygiene procedures within the targeted schools.
